How your Zakat is used
Zakat is distributed to qualifying recipients and Islamic educational causes, and is not retained by the mosque. Zakat al-Fitr is distributed to those in need before Eid al-Fitr. If you are unsure about your Zakat obligation, please speak to the Imam or a qualified Islamic scholar.
All other donations — Sadaqah, running costs and building appeal contributions — go directly towards the operations and upkeep of Preston City Mosque.
